Education (IGCSE) examinations of the University of Cambridge

14-16 year old's.
September 2022 we commence intake
and preparation of students for Cambridge International
Advanced Subsidiary (AS) & Advanced Level
qualifications.
AS-level is a single year course and forms
an integral part of the 2 years A-level required for university
entrance.

Our academic plan and the IGCSE Curriculum are guiding roadmaps
of the school program.
The school curriculum is designed
to ensure overall development of the students and to empower
them with 21st Century skills which are aligned with
National agenda parameters.
EARLY YEARS
KINDERGARTEN 1 and 2
The curriculum has been developed keeping in mind the specific areas of learning . Reception follows Enhanced Early Years Foundation Stage with skill sets and development milestones of international standards.
The best practices have been adapted to accommodate learning centres in Reception 1 and 2.
In Reception the curriculum is theme based & cross curricular links are well established which gives opportunity for independent learning and choice making.
Alignment of choice of indoor and outdoor activities during the free flow sessions. It has a clear rationale aligned to the school and national visions.

JUNIOR SCHOOL
GRADE 1 to 4
The Primary School years build a strong academic foundation
for students and we help to instil the right values and
develop a sense of responsibility and ethics.

This is furthered by an emphasis on creative thinking, innovative problem solving and independent expression.
A variety of child-centric methods are employed to engage students in an interactive manner in our efforts to lay down a strong foundation in the basics of literacy and numeracy.
We also intend to make them more aware of the environment of which they are a part of. These methods include role plays, quizzing, mime, language games, audio-visual presentations, activities, class assemblies, projects and field trips.

THE MIDDLE SCHOOL
GRADE 5 to 7
The Middle School years provide the young and the adolescents with a challenging and supportive experience as it is a bridge between the foundation building activities of the Primary School and the more formal and challenging demands of the Senior Secondary level
The foundation for effective communication, both oral and written, is laid down at this level through varied activities like elocution, story and poetry writing, public speaking, declamation and debating. Key concepts and strategies are introduced and developed to help students build a strong foundation in Science and Mathematics.
They are also provided with a more challenging curriculum which would ease their transition to the Senior Secondary level. Forward thinking and Creative Arts are also encouraged to hone their latent talents.
The emphasis is on being visually creative and enterprising, developing the right study habits and acquiring in-depth conceptual knowledge.
The curriculum is activity oriented, based on teamwork and collaborative learning via discussions, group project work, discovery and exploration. A wide range of teaching and learning strategies are employed in all areas of the curriculum.

THE SENIOR SCHOOL
Grade 8 - 11
The Senior Students pursuing the IGCSE curriculum are prepared
to confidently appear for the Board Examination conducted by
Cambridge Assessment International Education.
Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international
curriculum for 14-16-year-old students. The IGCSE qualification
is globally recognized and valued. Cambridge IGCSE encourages
learner - centered and enquiry - based approach to learning. It
develops the learner’s skills in creative thinking, enquiry and
problem solving, giving them excellent preparation for the next
stage in their education. Cambridge IGCSE develops learner
knowledge, understanding and skills in:

Criteria to appear for the CAIE-IGCSE/GCE Board Examinations:
• It is mandatory that a student maintains a minimum
attendance of 92% to enroll in the Cambridge-IGCSE Board
Examination.
• It is compulsory that the students write
all school based exams.

Note:
** The students
undertake the Cambridge IGCSE Board Examination in these
subjects at the end of GRADE 10.
It is mandatory that
the students secure the required minimum pass percentage in the
School based examination,
(irrespective of Board Results)
to be promoted to GRADE 11.
